Open letter to our Radical Party's comrades in Italy.

Dear Radical friends,

As you may know, Moscow’s authorities unlawfully prohibited nonviolent and peaceful action of protest (on Manezhnaya square) against future Putin’s inauguration. As you undoubtedly know, Putin’s “victory” on these elections was proclaimed officially, although the elections were not honest. The action will be performed by Russian oppositional activists from the different regions of Russian Federation on Manezhnaya square, in the very center of Moscow, at 7 o’clock p.m. of local time on May, 6.

We, Russian Nonviolent Radical Party’s (and\or “Free Radicals” libertarian movement’s) militants ask you to support Moscow’s action of May, 6 through picketing of Russian embassy in Rome on May, 6, or, if it will be impossible that day, on May, 7.

Marco Pannella is on hunger and thirst strike for Italy go back and be a democracy.

On 23 June the left-leaning newspaper il Manifesto published a picture of Marco Pannella on the cover with the title “his prisons”.

On Tusday June 21st a group of members of the NRPTT to end the censorship surrounding Pannella's iniziative projected the video below on the building seat of RAI (the Italian public broadcasting system) in which Pannella calls for an Amnesty to allow the Italian Republic to go back to be a full-fledged democracy. The video was eventually projected on the oldest Roman prison of Regine Coeli and the Ministry of Justice. The demonstration was eventually stopped by the police....

Police falsifies against them paragraph 19.3 of Russian Administrative Code, and there's a high risk of their unlawful imprisonment on 5 -- 15 days.

The “Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty” and the “Italian Radicals” joined officially the nonviolent initiative promoted by the Tibetan Government in exile. For the first time, the Tibetan authorities in exile in Dharamsala, India, have suggested to the Tibetan diaspora, to the Tibetan living in China and to all the supporters of their struggle, an extraordinary, coordinated mobilization. On Saturday, August 30th anybody who wants show his own support for the Tibetans and for the Dalai Lama Nonviolent struggle, have been encouraged by the Tibetan Prime Minister, Professor Samdhong Rinpoche, to observe a symbolic 12-hour long fasting. The Fasting shall be observed from 7/8 a.m. till 7/8 p.m. for 12 hours. The President of the Tibetan Government in Exile asks to observe fasting, silence, meditation and prayers, but he also encourages to spread information to support the cause of Free Tibet, to urge the choice of a dialog and the need to say the truth on a regime which, for 60 years, has been occupying and repressing the so called “ Roof of the world”.
This morning, trough a letter signed by Marco Pannella, Marco Perduca, Matteo Mecacci and Maurizio Turco, the Nonviolent Radical Party informed the President Samdhong Rinpoche, located in Dharamsala that the Radicals will give their support, once again, to the Tibetan authorities by adhering to their initiative.
By adhering, the leaders of the Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty stressed the importance of the active nonviolent initiative, promoted and coordinated for the first time by the top democratic leaders of the Tibetan Government in exile in India , and they reiterated their willingness to support their proposals for autonomy. Furthermore, they reaffirmed the opportunity to make public, preemptively, the plan which is going to be submitted to the Chinese Authorities by a delegation which will be sent in October to Beijing from the Dalai Lama.

We ask you, this time, to join not only us, but the whole Tibetan Community.

Stop Russian aggression! Sign the petition.

Russia decided to invade a sovereign democratic Georgia. Russia is bombing georgian cities, airports, railway, stadiums, civilian blocks, and everything that can be leveld to the ground. While international community stands by, thousands of civilians are wounded and dieing from blasts comming from Russian tanks and air force. Russia has INVADED a democratic sovereign country!

A Radical Party activist Serge Konstantinov was arrested again in Friday's evening, and police unlawfully keeps him in the police department "Arbat" in the centre of Moscow. Yesterday Serge, as approx. 20 other men and women, took part in the legal and nonviolent street's action in support of coordinator of OBORONA ("DEFENCE") youth oppositional movement Oleg Kozlovsky, who was unlawfully conscribed in the army these days according to "advice" of the FSB-KGB.

Police officer, in the rough form, said to Serge this midnight that he will be arrested (after tomorrow's so-called "justice decision") on 15 days, i.e. during the Christmas and New Year's eves Serge risks to "celebrate" at the Moscow's prison, not at home, with his wife Katya.

I shall inform you about fresh news concerning Serge and other arrested people these days.

American Radio Free Europe - Radio Liberty Marks Anniversary Of Anna Politkovskaya Murder.

PRAGUE, October 4, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- Friends and colleagues of slain Russian investigative journalist Anna Politkovskaya gathered at RFE/RL's Prague headquarters today to honor her memory through personal remembrances and discussions of the struggle for press freedom in Russia.

In addition to today's conference in Prague, ceremonies and vigils marking Politkovskaya's assassination also are scheduled to be held in Moscow, New York, Washington, Stockholm, Hamburg, Paris, and London.

Speaking via video link from Moscow, Dmitry Muratov, Politkovskaya's editor in chief at her newspaper, "Novaya gazeta," recited the telephone number that so many people had dialed to convey the truth about Russia's war in Chechnya and other issues that received little or no coverage in the country's mainstream press.

"798-1034. This telephone number stopped answering on October 7 last year," Muratov said in an emotional speech. "Hundreds of people called this number. On this number, she heard numerous curses and threats. She heard many expressions of gratitude. On this number, people called her to set up meetings during which she was given extremely important information on corruption in the Russian Federation."

Muratov said "Novaya gazeta" will reactivate Politkovskaya's old mobile telephone on October 8 in hopes of reviving the stream of calls ended by an assassin's bullets one year ago. Once again, Muratov said, Russians will be able to call with their pain, grief, gratitude, and information about official malfeasance -- and get a sympathetic ear from Politkovskaya's former colleagues.
